Wind blows off roof, injures mother, seven-month-old baby

Nandurbar: Although the monsoon has not arrived in the district, strong winds have started blowing in some areas. In the village of Sitapavli in Taloda taluka, Govind Thackeray, a farmer, suffered heavy losses when cement sheets were blown off his house due to strong winds. The seven-month-old baby and his mother also suffered minor injuries in the incident.

A sudden gust of wind at Sitapavli in Taloda taluka of Nandurbar district has blown away the roof of Govind Thackeray’s house, causing extensive damage to food grains and household items. Important documents have also been blown away. The seven-month-old baby and the mother in the house also sustained minor injuries.

Promise to help by Panchnama

Talathi Kavita Parchure of the concerned Gram Panchayat has informed that the affected family will be visited and help will be given through Panchnama. The affected family has demanded immediate help as the roof of the house was blown off at the beginning of the rainy season and there were problems for shelter.

Seeing the plight of the affected family, the rural activists of Taloda Bharatiya Janata Party have provided cash assistance of Rs. 5,000 to the affected family. The affected farmer Govind Thackeray has demanded that the revenue department should also take action and help as soon as possible.
