To travel from Bhosari by Alandi road, drivers-citizens will now be freed from traffic congestion. The work of Bhosari Bypass Road has been undertaken through Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Administration.

The Bhumipujan of the road was held on Monday morning in the presence of MLA Mahesh Landge. Standing Committee Chairman Santosh Londhe, Corporator Adv. Nitin Landage, Sagar Gawli, Bhimatai Fuge, Sonali Gawhane, Sarika Landge, Yashoda Boinwad, Rajendra Landge, Ravi Landge and other office bearers and activists were present.

Bhosari-Alandi road is the ‘Lakshmi Road’ in Pimpri-Chinchwad. There are a large number of professionals on this street. The area is known as the ‘heartline’ of the Bhosari trade world. There are vegetable markets, two gardens, Mars offices, two petrol pumps on this road. Therefore, there was a need to build an alternative road or flyover to ease the traffic congestion on this very busy road.

Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation was established in 1986. Prior to that, Pimpri-Chinchwad was a municipality. This road has been neglected for the last 30 years due to lack of political will. In every election, the then leaders promised to free and bypass the Bhosari traffic. However, there was a grievance among locals and traders that the road never existed.
Meanwhile, after the establishment of power in the municipal elections (2017), MLA Landage took the initiative to increase the ‘connectivity’ of the village by constructing a network of internal roads and external roads in the Bhosari assembly constituency. Actually, Bhosari bypass road is not included in the development plan (DP). But, it was necessary to do this road in the interest of the citizens. The citizens of the area had demanded this from the administration.

Why is Bhosari Bypass Road important?
Alandi Road and Dighi Road are experiencing heavy traffic jams in the morning and evening (during peak hours). The number of minor and major accidents has also increased. There was no parallel road from Bhosari to Dighi or Alandi. There was no wide road with connectivity to Chakrapani Vasahat Chowk, Shastri Chowk, Roshan Garden, Landagenagar, Fugevasti, Walkemala, Deokar Vasti. The Bhosari bypass road will provide connectivity to all the above intersections. As well as Alandi, Pune or Vishrantwadi will save time for carriers. Accidents will also be reduced. Therefore, it was essential that the road work be completed.

‘Surgical strike’ once again for Bhosari roads
In terms of connectivity in Bhosari, MLA Mahesh Landage decided to complete the road works which have been in dispute between the landlord and the administration for the last several years. After completing two roads in Dighi, work on Bhosari bypass road is now underway. In coordination with the municipal administration, about 38 landowners have taken initiative for the road. Families like Landage, Gawhane, Deokar, Fuge, Gaware, Walke, Gawli, Chavan etc. have taken a positive role for the road work. Yakami MLA Landage has once again staged a ‘surgical strike’ after Dighi.

This is the road

There is a road from Sadgurunagar on Pune-Nashik highway to Fugevasti-Walkemala on Bhosari-Alandiro. This road starts from Bhosari main chowk at a distance of one kilometer recently (towards Nashik). Also, it ends near Fugevasti-Walkemala Mazin Chowk on Alandi Road. Only cars, two-wheelers and small vehicles will be allowed on the two-kilometer Bhosari bypass road. Heavy vehicles will be banned on this road. The 9 meter wide road is scheduled to be completed in just six months.
