Shankar Jagtap: Committed to Removing Barriers for Sisters’ Higher Education and Employment
Mission Assembly: Special Blessings for Mahayuti Candidate Shankar Jagtap on Bhau Beej
Chinchwad: In today’s age, I want to see my sister as a capable woman. Education is the first step towards that capability. She should have the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge in her favorite subject, and to secure a good job or start a business. Ensuring this is my responsibility as her brother, said Shankar Jagtap, the candidate from the BJP-Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Party-RPI (Akhwale) Mahayuti alliance, on Sunday (3rd).
On the occasion of Bhau Beej, countless women from the Chinchwad Assembly constituency honored him with their blessings. During this time, he expressed his gratitude to millions of women and resolved to commit to the above goals.
Shankar Jagtap engaged with former municipal councilors and the community within the Chinchwad constituency.
Jagtap stated, “I will ensure that economic and social barriers do not hinder your education. Your education should proceed smoothly. I will work to help you become highly educated.”
“The second step towards your empowerment is financial independence. You should have the freedom to choose between employment, entrepreneurship, or self-employment based on your preferences. You must feel safe at your workplace and during travel. Gender discrimination in financial compensation should not come your way. You must lead an independent and dignified life. This is my commitment.”
“For all these matters, my heartfelt determination is my blessing to you. Accept it, and then sincerely pray for my success. This is my only request,” Jagtap expressed emotionally to his millions of sisters.
