Shivajinagar-Hinjawadi Metro Line Stations Work Progressing

Pune: The work on the stations of the Shivajinagar-Hinjawadi Metro line in the city is progressing well. The total 23-kilometer metro line project is nearing completion, and work on the stations has now begun. This metro will eliminate the difficult road travel for hundreds of employees working in the Hinjawadi IT Park. Additionally, it will help resolve the persistent traffic congestion issue.

The metro project is being carried out under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. A separate company established by the Tata Group for such projects is handling the work. Once completed, the company will operate the metro for the next 35 years. This project will save time for passengers, providing a cheaper and more comfortable transport option. The metro line will have 23 stations from Shivajinagar to Hinjawadi, all elevated at a height of approximately 27 to 28 meters above the ground. The company has now accelerated work on these stations.
