Sangli: Sambhaji Bhide, founder of Shiv Pratishthan, was injured today (Wednesday) when he fell off his bicycle. His skull was injured and he has been admitted to Bharti Hospital for treatment.
Bhide (age 83), the founder of Shiv Pratishthan, had cycled from Ganpati Peth to Ganesh Mandir on Wednesday evening. At the turn, he suddenly fell off his bicycle. He was rushed to a private hospital in the city. After preliminary examination, he has been shifted to Bharti Hospital for further treatment.
Upon learning of the accident, the activists formed a large crowd in the hospital premises. Meanwhile, considering Bhide’s age, all his investigations will be carried out. He is currently being treated in the intensive care unit.
