Baba Kamble appeals to passengers to cooperate
Pimpri: Baba Kamble, president of Maharashtra Rickshaw Panchayat, has asserted that the decision of meter rental for rickshaw pullers is historic. This increase was necessary due to the increase in inflation. Baba Kamble has appealed in the press release that the passengers should also cooperate with the rickshaw drivers.
In the press release given by Baba Kamble, it has been mentioned that the decision to increase the fare in the rickshaw meter has been taken in a meeting of the regional transport authority, rickshaw association, consumer and passenger association.
Now the fare hike has been fixed at Rs 27 for the first km and Rs 18 for every km after that. Baba Kamble informed that this decision will be taken in the RTO committee soon.
There is a continuous increase in the price of CNG and the rate of inflation. Due to this, this increase in rent has been given according to the formula of Khatwa Committee. Baba Kamble, the founder president of Maharashtra Rickshaw Panchayat, the leader of laborers, has welcomed this Vatawadi. The rickshaw driver owners are aware that the rickshaw rental will cut into the pockets of the citizens. However, Baba Kamble has appealed to the citizens to think sympathetically about how much the rickshaw drivers have to bear due to the rising inflation. Rickshaw drivers are saddled with various debts. To reduce it, it was necessary to increase the rent, which had been stalled for many years. Baba Kamble appealed to the citizens to understand and cooperate. Baba Kamble also appealed to the rickshaw drivers not to misbehave by providing proper service to the customers.
