Pimpri-Chinchwad city politics starts and ends around villager-bhavki, brotherhood. At least the next 50 years will see the same situation. Then, no matter what wave, storm and tsunami comes, it is Bhumiputra who will be decisive in the politics here. Although there is political hegemony in the progressive moving city as Best City, IT Hub and Smart City, there are lively hearted leaders who forget party differences and maintain relationships. This is the glory of this soil. An incident that proves this happened recently.
The once powerful leaders in the city politics who are actually known as ‘Sharad Pawar of Pimpri-Chinchwad’ are the former MLA Vilas Lande of Bhosari, the second is the ‘Bhaubali’ of the political scene i.e. the current MLA of Chinchwad Assembly Laxman Jagtap and the third former mayor Sanjog Waghere-Patil… A ‘shameful’ group of leaders since 2002. A political pressure group that dominated the city for nearly 20 years with the ability to overturn the city’s politics.
Vilas Lande, who was senior to all of them while he was in the Nationalist Congress Party, is still in critical condition. After that, Laxman Jagtap, who despite being treated in the intensive care unit for about 50 days, went to Mumbai for hoisting the flag on Independence Day and before that to vote in the Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council elections, successfully overcame the illness. Sanjog Waghere, who had a political journey as a corporator, mayor and city president of NCP, literally gave life to NCP during its downfall. These three met on Jagtap’s Chandrarang. Waghere-Patal released his first photo on his social media. It was discussed in the political circles of the city.
Interestingly, former corporators Navnath Jagtap and Prashant Shitole, who had distanced themselves politically from Jagtap a few years ago, were also seen. Due to this, a back-and-forth discussion has started in the city NCP.

Meanwhile, MLA Jagtap’s health has improved, and when Lande and Waghere came to meet, gossip started. True to his nature, Lande was bullied. Who and how honest have been there, made an ironic joke. Also, expressed regret that Lande is being sidelined in the party. On the other hand, same is the case with Sanjog Waghere. Prashant Shitole, Navnath Jagtap were pictured as angry with BJP. However, his photo with Jagtap indicates a different political stance. Moreover, ‘that’ photo taken by Jagtap with his hands on the shoulders of Lande and Vaghere is deeply disturbing to the local officials of NCP. Senior and former leaders who were sidelined by NCP will now be on BJP’s throat, won’t they? It is seen that the tone of political discussion has changed.
