Government agencies must work swiftly and in coordination on development projects. There should be no hindrance to basic services like roads, electricity, water, and healthcare. Especially with the monsoon approaching, potholes must be immediately filled, and proper maintenance of electric poles and power supply should be ensured. Departments concerned with agriculture damage should take immediate action.”
MLA Mahendra Thorve added, “Only through coordination between the government and administration can development be expedited. Work must be carried out through teamwork. We are committed to solving local issues by understanding them thoroughly. Efforts are ongoing to declare Karjat Taluka as a tourism zone. All departments should maintain mutual coordination for this. Funding will be made available for Anganwadis. Departments facing manpower shortages should submit written requests, and follow-up will be done at the government level.”
As per Forest Minister Ganesh Naik’s suggestion, instructions have been issued to the Forest Department to develop a forest park on the site of the dumping ground at Ladivali. Considering the tourist season during monsoon, MLA Thorve proposed that tourism should remain open with proper safety measures, rather than imposing restrictions.
During the meeting, various departments presented their concerns. The Land Records Department pointed out a shortage of manpower for land surveys. Bharti Satalkar from the Anganwadi Department reported that under the ‘Lek Ladki’ scheme, the first installment had been distributed to 471 out of 499 girls. Tehsildar Dr. Dhananjay Jadhav said that grain stocks for three months are stored in three warehouses for the public distribution system.
