Mumbai. MahaeNews. Special Representative.
Vinayak Mete, the founder of Shiv Sangram organization, passed away in a road accident on August 14. After his car met with an accident, many reasons, many issues regarding the accident are coming to the fore. Who exactly was at fault, did the driver misjudge? Didn’t get help sooner? Many such things are being questioned. The government has launched an inquiry into the accident on the Mumbai-Pune highway. Varsha Gaikwad raised this issue of the accident in the monsoon session of the Legislative Assembly. On this, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Mete’s accident happened due to the miscalculation of the driver. The Deputy Chief Minister also said that it has been proved that the help did not reach in time after the accident, the system needs to be changed so that we should get the digital location directly.
Mete’s driver overtook
The Deputy Chief Minister informed the Legislative Assembly about what exactly went wrong during the accident of Mete. Fadnavis said that there was an attempt to overtake by the driver of the Mete. Deputy Chief Minister said that the doctor said that he died on the spot in this accident. After the accident, Mete’s driver called 112 number. As the driver told the location, the phone number 112 went to the Navi Mumbai Police. Immediate action was taken by the Navi Mumbai Police. But after tracking the phone made by the driver, the police did not get the correct location.

The driver of Mete (Vinayak Mete Accident) gave the wrong location after the accident. It is not known if he was scared. But he did not give correct information about the accident site. The driver said that he was near the tunnel. But when the Navi Mumbai police reached there, there was no one. The police also looked at the other side of the tunnel, but there was no one there either. So Navi Mumbai Police informed Raigad Police. When the Raigad police reached, the car was far from the tunnel.

Fadnavis said that Mete’s driver overtook. Raigad Police was alerted as the Navi Mumbai Police did not get the location. Raigad police also reached, but they also did not get the location of the accident immediately. After some time IRB ambulance along with Raigad police reached the spot in just 7 minutes, after which further relief work started. But whether he died on the road or on the spot, it will be clear only after the post-mortem report is received, said the Deputy Chief Minister.
Trailers leave the lane

After the accident, it is necessary to go to the location of the accident site properly. Fadnavis said that if the location had been found directly, the call would have gone directly to Raigad and help would have been received sooner. Arrangements will be made to get information based on digital location. There is currently no control over trailers leaving the lane, ITMS i.e. Intelligent Traffic Management System will be implemented on the Mumbai-Pune highway. The entire road can be tracked through this system.
The help took time as the location was not available

Using satellites and drones, we can monitor trailers that leave such lanes. Due to lack of location, help took time after the accident. So it is necessary to get the location right. Based on the location, the police can be reached quickly. Also avoid traveling between 3 am to 6 am. During such time, the driver may get blinded. This creates the possibility of an accident. So it is important for everyone to avoid traveling at night as much as possible.
