Mumbai: A chargesheet has been filed against Renu Sharma, who was arrested for demanding ransom from NCP leader and state social justice minister Dhananjay Munde. The claim made in this chargesheet has caused a stir. According to the chargesheet, Dhananjay Munde suffered from mental stress due to his repeated demands for ransom from Renu Sharma and suffered a brain stroke on April 13.
Renu Sharma is the sister of Dhananjay Munde’s second wife Karuna Sharma. Dhananjay Munde had alleged that Renu Sharma had demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore from him. Munde had lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police against this. The case was then handed over to the Crime Branch. After that, the crime branch went to Indore and arrested Renu Sharma. A chargesheet has been filed in this regard on Saturday. In this chargesheet, a shocking claim has been made about Dhananjay Munde’s illness.
Dhananjay Munde was in a state of tension due to money laundering by Renu Sharma. Munde was later admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai from April 12 to 16 due to health problems. Here he was treated. We have seized the documents in this regard, ‘the chargesheet said.
According to Dhananjay Munde’s complaint, Renu Sharma had earlier lodged a false complaint against him at Oshiwara police station. However, she later withdrew the complaint. Then in February and March, Renu Sharma called Dhananjay Munde from an international number. This time, she demanded a shop worth Rs 5 crore and an expensive mobile phone from Dhananjay Munde. Renu Sharma had threatened Dhananjay Munde that if the demand was not met, he would defame her. Police have also recorded the statement of a developer from Indore in which he said that Renu Sharma had bought a luxurious house worth Rs 54 lakh in February. It is also alleged that Renu Sharma had a large amount of transactions from her bank account when she did not have any source of income. Against this background, further investigation is being carried out by the police.
