Big news! Shiv Sena’s application will be heard at 5 pm today – Supreme Court

New Delhi: After Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari ordered a majority trial, Shiv Sena chief Sunil Prabhu rushed to the Supreme Court against the order. Shiv Sena lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi informed the Supreme Court about his application and the developments in Maharashtra and requested for an urgent hearing. After that, the Supreme Court has decided to hold a hearing on Shiv Sena’s application today. A hearing will be held at 5 pm.

After the Shiv Sena challenged the majority test order, senior advocate Kaul spoke on behalf of the rebel MLAs. ‘The governor’s authority and his order to convene a convention tomorrow to prove his majority is a completely different matter. It has nothing to do with the issue of notices issued by the Deputy Speaker to the rebel MLAs, ‘said advocate Kaul. Shiv Sena lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi strongly objected to this.

On the one hand, in a case where the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the case on July 11, the governor has ordered a hasty session. This is a violation of the Constitution. We had expressed our fears about this on the same day, ‘Singhvi told the Supreme Court. After that Justice Surya Kant and Justice J. B. Pardiwala’s bench decided to hear the Shiv Sena’s application this evening. In this regard, the bench has directed Singhvi to hand over all the relevant documents to the advocates of the governor, rebel MLAs and the state government by 3 pm.
