‘Action Plan’ Soon for the “Missing Links” in Pimpri-Chinchwad

Expedite the land acquisition process for various roads! : MLA Mahesh Landge’s demand to the District Collector

Pimpri-Chinchwad | Correspondent । There are major obstacles to land acquisition for roads included in the development plan of Pimpri-Chinchwad city and its merged villages. As a result, there are as many as 42 “missing links.” To complete the work on these roads, BJP leader and MLA Mahesh Landge has demanded the creation of an “Action Plan.”

In this regard, a letter has been submitted to District Collector Jitendra Dudi. It mentions that Pimpri-Chinchwad is developing rapidly. Since 2014, under the guidance of then Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, development of the municipal corporation areas including merged villages has been actively promoted in this city now known as a “Metro City.”

As a result, over the past 10 years, urbanization and housing projects have increased significantly in the city and its suburbs. This has led to a sharp rise in traffic congestion and pressure on roads. There are a total of 42 “missing links” within the municipal limits. Completing this work will significantly help solve the issue of traffic congestion in the city. It will also help provide essential infrastructure to support the growing urban population, said MLA Landge.

Municipal Corporation Prioritizing Work on ‘Missing Links’

Traffic congestion is commonly seen in various parts of the city during morning and evening hours. Due to the rapidly increasing population and number of vehicles, existing roads and bridges are proving inadequate, worsening traffic congestion. To address these growing issues, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has undertaken a comprehensive action plan. The corporation is actively pursuing the completion of the missing link roads on a priority basis. However, due to delays in land acquisition, progress on these projects has been hindered.

If the District Collector’s office completes the land acquisition process and transfers the land to the municipal administration, the municipal corporation will be able to complete the work on the 42 identified roads. This would significantly help in resolving the traffic issues. In this context, we are following up to ensure that an action plan is urgently prepared for completing the “missing link” projects in Pimpri-Chinchwad city. We are making all possible efforts to strengthen the city’s transport system.
