Devendra Fadnavis fulfilled his promise for OBC reservation: MLA Mahesh Landge

Welcoming the Supreme Court decision

Congratulations to the OBC brothers of the state

Pimpri: The way of political reservation has been paved for the OBC community in the state. The Supreme Court has ordered to hold elections with OBC reservation. The words given by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis that “When the government of our ideas comes to the state, it will give OBC reservation in three months…” has finally come true. BJP city president and MLA Mahesh Landge responded that he thanks all those who are trying for OBC political reservation.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday delivered a landmark judgment on OBC political reservation. Accepting the recommendations of the Banthia Commission appointed by the state government, the Supreme Court today cleared the way for 27 percent OBC reservation in local body elections. MLA Landge welcomed this decision.
MLA Landge said that the Grand Alliance government has kept its word regarding OBC political reservation. The Supreme Court has accepted the triple test and other matters along with the report submitted by the Banthia Commission and has also ordered that elections to the local bodies should be announced within 2 weeks with reservation up to 27 percent for OBCs.
State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took the stand that elections should not be held without OBC reservation. Today, this result has set the example of how any problem can be solved if there is will power. We welcome this decision. MLA Landge also said that he congratulates and thanks Chief Minister Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis.
