The Congress is planning to hold rallies against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in a few districts of Uttar Pradesh. The rallies will be hold on Republic Day on January 26, party sources said.
Party’s general secretary Priyanka Gandhi will be addressing the rallies. The Uttar Pradesh Congress is taking final decision for the rallies. The proposal has been sent for rallies at two venues. Priyanka’s office is yet to respond to the proposal of the PCC, sources said.
The rallies will be hold in Saharanpur and Basti. The UP Congress leaders are preparing for the rally and Priyanka Gandhi will be attended this rally.
