PMRDA Conducts Survey of 350 Buildings in One Year
About 95 unauthorized constructions, removal of hoardings

Pimpri-Chinchwad: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has started a drive to remove unauthorized buildings and hoardings. Over the past year, the PMRDA administration has surveyed approximately 350 buildings, including around 95 unauthorized structures and hoardings. Among these, 24 hoardings have been removed. The authorities have clarified that this action will continue, and further surveys of buildings will also be carried out.
Additionally, legal action has been taken against five individuals who continued construction despite receiving notices, violating regulations. Going forward, the crackdown on unauthorized buildings will be intensified. The survey and removal of unauthorized hoardings and structures in the PMRDA jurisdiction are ongoing. Dr. Suryawanshi, the Assistant Commissioner of the Unauthorized Construction Elimination Department, confirmed this.
Earlier, PMRDA had removed unauthorized hoardings and buildings in Loni Kand and Kesanand. Unauthorized hoardings and sheds illegally constructed by flat owners in societies have also been dismantled using cranes, gas cutters, and manual labor.
The action is being carried out under the guidance of PMRDA Municipal Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase, Police Superintendent and Vigilance Officer Amol Tambe, Deputy Collector Dr. Deepti Suryawanshi-Patil, Sub-Divisional Officer Pramod Kudale, Tehsildar Sachin Maske, Rajendra Ranjane, Police Inspector Mahesh Kumar Sartape, and Junior Engineers.
