PCMC: Work on the road connecting Nashik Highway via Triveni Nagar is progressing!
The project aims to reduce traffic congestion and ease vehicle crowding on main roads.
Pimpri-Chinchwad: The construction of the 550-meter-long road connecting the Nashik Highway via Triveni Nagar and Bhakti Shakti Chowk is progressing, with 50% of the work completed. The goal of this important project is to improve traffic movement between the Pune-Nashik Highway, Old Mumbai-Pune Highway, and Nigdi Bhakti Shakti Chowk, and to reduce traffic congestion within the city. The Municipal Corporation plans to accelerate the project after resolving the issue related to the acquisition of the 250×75 meter land as per the approved development plan.
As per the approved development plan, this road is designed to be 75 meters wide, and the current work focuses on developing a 37-meter-wide road. The planned road will consist of two 12-meter-wide lanes, a 9-meter-wide high-capacity mass transit route in the center, and 2-meter-wide paved shoulders on both sides. Currently, the bitumen work for 270 meters of the dual carriageway has been completed.
Benefits to Citizens: Once the road construction connecting Triveni Nagar to Bhakti Shakti Chowk is completed, the number of heavy vehicles on the main roads of the city will decrease. This will help preserve an eco-friendly environment, reduce traffic congestion, save passengers’ time, and cut fuel consumption. Additionally, the road will serve as an important link connecting the Talwade IT industrial center to the Chakan MIDC.
Furthermore, the road development using modern techniques will address issues such as drainage facilities and seasonal water runoff in the area. The use of advanced technical methods will also reduce pollution and the number of accidents.
Completion of Road Work in 1 to 2 Months: The land acquisition process for the road is currently underway, and after the necessary land is acquired, the remaining work will be completed within one to two months, according to the Municipal Corporation’s goal.
The road work connecting the Nashik Highway via Triveni Nagar to Bhakti Shakti Chowk is progressing, and once the land acquisition issues are resolved, the remaining work will be completed quickly. The Municipal Corporation aims to make this road available for use by passengers in the shortest possible time.
