Fadnavis Government Announces 100-Day Action Plan

Mumbai:Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the 21st Chief Minister of Maharashtra on December 6, alongside Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, who assumed the roles of Deputy Chief Ministers. Following the expansion of the Cabinet and allocation of portfolios, the Fadnavis government has now announced its 100-day action plan. The information was shared by the Chief Minister’s office via an X account on December 31.
In a review meeting held at the Sahyadri Guest House, Fadnavis outlined the action plans for the next 100 days, providing instructions to various departments, including Transport, Cultural Affairs, Rural Development, Food and Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection, and the Textile Industry.
Key highlights of the action plan include:
- Transport Department:
Development of policies for vehicle scrapping and new electric vehicle initiatives, use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to reduce road accidents, and measures to enhance transportation services. - Cultural Affairs Department:
Introduction of an online ‘single window’ permit for film shooting, production of commercial films marking the 300th birth anniversary of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar, and a campaign to distribute the Constitution to every household through the ‘Har Ghar Samvidhan’ initiative. - Rural Development and Panchayati Raj:
Distribution of the first installment of ₹450 crore for 13 lakh houses, improving rural roads with high-quality cement concrete, and making each house solar-powered under the Mahavasa Yojana. - Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection:
Creation of smart ration cards for migrant workers, implementation of KYC (Know Your Customer) authentication, and introduction of the ‘One Village One Warehouse’ and ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ policies. - Cooperation, Marketing, and Textile Industry:
Establishment of the Maharashtra State Textile Development Corporation, effective implementation of captive market schemes for local textile industries, and provision of social security to handloom weavers through retirement pension schemes.
This 100-day action plan is designed to address the immediate challenges and streamline governance in various sectors.
