Expansion of the Maha-Yuti Government Cabinet, A Total of 33 Cabinet Ministers and 6 State Ministers Took the Oath

Pimpri Chinchwad : The expansion of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s cabinet took place today. Along with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, the cabinet will now have 39 ministers, as has been confirmed.

Despite the swearing-in of the Chief Minister and the two Deputy Chief Ministers two weeks ago, there was ongoing political discussion about whether there was any dissatisfaction within the Maha-Yuti alliance due to the delay in the cabinet expansion. However, the cabinet expansion took place just before the winter session to be held in Nagpur.

The cabinet expansion ceremony was held in the lawn of the Raj Bhavan in Nagpur, where Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers.

Ministerial Allocations: Devendra Fadnavis will hold the position of Chief Minister for the BJP, while Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena) and Ajit Pawar (Nationalist Congress Party) will be the Deputy Chief Ministers.

  • BJP: 19 Ministers
  • Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction): 11 Ministers
  • Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction): 9 Ministers

New BJP Ministers in the Cabinet: The BJP has secured the Chief Minister’s post in Maharashtra, with Devendra Fadnavis taking office. Additionally, the BJP has been allocated 16 Cabinet and 3 State Minister positions.

The BJP has appointed three women leaders to the cabinet.

New Shiv Sena Ministers: Shiv Sena’s prominent leader Eknath Shinde has become the Deputy Chief Minister, with his faction of Shiv Sena receiving 9 Cabinet and 2 State Minister positions.

Leaders like Tanaji Sawant and Deepak Kesarkar have been excluded by Eknath Shinde.

Prominent leaders like Chhagan Bhujbal and Dilip Walse Patil have been excluded by Ajit Pawar.
