Pimpri Chinchwad : In Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s jurisdiction, unauthorized flex boards, advertisements, posters, kiosks, gantries, and other such materials must be removed immediately. If not, strict action will be taken against the concerned individuals, warned Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh on Tuesday (January 7).
The action against unauthorized flex boards, advertisements, posters, kiosks, and gantries is currently underway in Pimpri-Chinchwad city. A meeting was held regarding this matter, where the commissioner made these remarks. The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale Patil, Vijaykumar Khorate, Chandrakant Indalkar, and regional officials.
Commissioner Singh gave various instructions to the regional officials. Apart from unauthorized arches, tents, flags, and boards being erected, the regional officials must also take action against unauthorized advertisements on private and public spaces. The action should be documented with photographs, videos, and panchnamas (official records).
It is mandatory for the advertising license holder to prominently display the license number, validity period, location, and QR code on the hoardings. During various events or festivals, temporary booths or tents can be erected, but no hoardings or flex boards can be put up. Any flex or banners put up for birthdays or other events or festivals will also be subject to action. The advertising license holders must renew their permits by paying the renewal fee; otherwise, action will be taken against them as well, warned the Commissioner.
