Nashik : Shiv Sena office bearer Bala Kokane was assaulted on Monday night. On Monday night around 10:30 to 11:00, Bala Kokane was passing through MG Road on his two-wheeler. At this time, four unknown assailants attacked him from behind with a sharp weapon. This led to bloodshed. They were frightened by this sudden attack. He was admitted to a private hospital near Sarkarwada Police Station with the help of the people around him.
Bala Kokane is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. After the attack, the accused fled from the spot. After receiving information about the incident, the patrol teams of Bhadrakali and Sarkarwada police stations reached the spot. The police were searching for the absconding unknown assailants till late night. It is not yet clear who exactly did the attack and why. Fortunately, the Kokans have narrowly escaped this attack.
