Anglat of Municipal Corporation Officer, Court notice was leaked to the media

Ahmednagar: Following the verdict of the court, the officials of the corporation have come under fire for presenting the written statement directly to the media. The court has issued a notice in this regard as his action is contempt of court. District Judge Sudhakar Yergadalla has ordered to appear before the court on July 23. The original complainant, Shiv Sena Deputy District Chief Girish Jadhav, had brought the matter to the notice of the court. Jadhav had filed a petition alleging misappropriation of crores of rupees in the solid waste department of the corporation. Following the hearing, the court directed to file charges against the accused. Accordingly, a case has been registered against Jadhav at the Artillery Police Station here.

The news about this was published. After that Kishore Deshmukh, head of solid waste department in charge of the corporation gave a written statement to the media. In this regard, Jadhav again ran to the court and filed a petition. Jadhav, through his lawyer Abhijeet Puppal, had today filed a petition in the court seeking immediate action against Municipal Commissioner Shankar Gore, Deputy Commissioner Yashwant Dange, then health officer Dr Anil Borge and officer-in-charge Kishor Deshmukh for contempt of court.

Advocate Abhijeet Puppal, while presenting his case, had no reason to disclose Kishore Deshmukh. They cannot disclose in this context. They have no such rights. This is the sole responsibility of the Municipal Commissioner. The revelation made by him by misleading the court and the public and throwing dust in his eyes is contempt of court. Therefore, he argued that immediate action should be taken against all of them. After hearing his statement, the court directed Municipal Corporation official Kishor Deshmukh to file a written statement on June 23.
