The heat wave in Vidarbha continues. The scorching heat continued on Saturday. Chandrapur recorded the highest ever temperature of 46.6 degrees Celsius on Saturday. April is the highest temperature in 100 years, according to the Meteorological Department. Earlier, on April 29, 1996, 46.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Chandrapur. The maximum temperature in Vidarbha has reached 42 to 46 degrees Celsius and the people of Vidarbha will have to face this scorching heat for at least the next two days.
All the states in the north, north-west and central parts of the country have been experiencing heat waves for the past two days. As a result, it is seen in Akola, Chandrapur, Nagpur, Wardha and Yavatmal districts. For the past week, the sun has been literally fading. Akola, Chandrapur, Brahmapuri are among the hottest cities in the world. Also on Saturday, Chandrapur was sixth in the top 15 hot cities with 46.6 degrees and Brahmapuri was ninth with 46.3 degrees. The people of Vidarbha are suffering due to the hot weather and the number of heat stroke patients is increasing rapidly. Moreover, the congestion on the roads has also reduced. Against this backdrop, the local administration along with the meteorological department has also issued a warning to the citizens. Never before has there been such a large heat wave in Vidarbha. In view of this increasing number, there is a growing demand for measures to control heat in Vidarbha.
Maximum temperature rise in May
The maximum temperature in Vidarbha is two to four degrees higher than the April average. According to the Indian Observatory, the maximum temperature in Maharashtra is expected to rise this May, but the heat wave is unlikely.
