Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: New 80-km section opens in Rajasthan, reducing travel time

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) recently opened an 80km section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway connecting Kota and Bundi in Rajasthan. This reduces travel time between the cities to just 50 minutes.

New Delhi: A new 80-kilometre section of the Delhi-Mumbai Express in Rajasthan connecting Kota and Bundi has recently been opened by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The section will enhance regional connectivity by reducing travel time and pave a way to address traffic confession. The section also adds to the progress in the work of much awaited Delhi-Mumbai Expressway which is nearing its completion.

The stretch became operational from December 16, 2024 which will reduce the travel time between Kota and Bundi to 50 minutes. Travelling between the two cities earlier use to take hours accompanied by heavy traffic and inconsistent route.
