Shocking: The farmer who went to save the riverside motor was swept away in the flood!

Parbhani: A 65-year-old farmer drowned in the Purna river after going to remove the motor from the river bank to prevent it from being swept away by the flood waters. The deceased farmer’s name is Shankar Taterao Kadam. Shankar Kadam went missing on Friday, July 15. After that, on the fourth day, Kadam’s body has been recovered.
Shankar Kadam, a farmer living in Swastik Nagar area of ​​Purna city, owns agricultural land in Group No. 49 on Kaudagaon road along Purna river. He had installed a motor on the river bank to water the agriculture. Rivers and streams have flooded due to heavy rains in the district. Shankar Kadam had gone to the farm on Friday morning to remove his motorcycle from being swept away by the flood waters. As he did not come home till afternoon, son Ganesh Kadam, nephew Ravi Kadam searched for him. But they were not found.

Shankar Kadam’s slippers and handkerchief were seen near the car on the river. Therefore, as it was suspected that he was washed away in the flood of the river, the relatives searched the river bed. The disaster management department was also informed about the incident. Then the fire brigade was called and under the leadership of Ganesh Rapatwar Md. A team of Amjad, Sonaji Khillare, Deepak Gawli, Mahesh Rapatwar, Tushar Parsode, Sharad Burad, Rahul Rajbhoj, Sheikh Arbaaz, Rajesh Chawaria, Aditya Agarde searched the riverbed.

Meanwhile, around this morning, the body of farmer Kadam was found floating near the pillar of the railway bridge. A case of sudden death has been registered in the Purna police on the information of Ravi Rameshrao Kadam. Shankar Kadam is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren.
