Dr. Bharat Ratna from Pimpri on behalf of the progressive and transformational organizations of Pimpri Chinchwad to protest the murder of a Dalit student in Rajasthan due to casteism by a teacher due to inhuman beating by a teacher and the amnesty given to the accused in the Bilkis Bano gang rape and murder case. At Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk, a protest movement was held under the leadership of senior social activist Manav Kamble.
Speaking on this occasion, Manav Kamble protested both these incidents and demanded that the government should give compensation of Rs. Former corporators Maruti Bhapkar, Sandipan Zombade, Prakash Jadhav, Dr. Kishore Khillare, Arpana Darade, Ruinaz Sheikh, Dhammaraj Salve, Sachin Desai, Ganesh Darade, Suresh Gaikwad, Pradeep Kadam expressed their objections. Pradeep Pawar, Kashinath Nakhate, Neeraj Kadu, Satish Kale, Girish Waghmare, Narendra Bansode, Deepak Khairnar, Prabuddha Kamble, Sultan Tamboli, Santosh Shinde, Akash Shinde, Sahdev Kasbe were present.
