Don’t Play with Citizens’ Health – Provide Clean and Pure Water, Says Adv. Dhammaraj Salve

Pimpri Chinchwad | Adv. Dhammaraj Salve, Founder-President of the Rayat Vidyarthi Vichar Manch, has submitted a memorandum to Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh, raising concerns about the supply of murky and impure drinking water in the city.
The Rayat Vidyarthi Vichar Manch has reported that in several wards of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, the quality of drinking water has drastically declined over the past few days. Citizens are reportedly receiving dirty, foul-smelling, and health-damaging water.
In this regard, Adv. Dhammaraj Salve presented a memorandum to the Municipal Commissioner, highlighting that water being supplied contains mud, garbage, and other harmful substances. Due to this, residents are suffering from skin diseases, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach aches, and other serious illnesses.
Considering this issue a serious threat to public health, the organization has made the following three key demands:
-
Immediate testing of water quality through the Water Supply Department.
-
Urgent implementation of necessary measures to purify the water.
-
Permanent maintenance and preventive actions to avoid recurrence of such issues in the future.
“Don’t play with citizens’ health. Access to clean and pure water is a fundamental right of every individual. The Municipal Corporation must urgently address this grave issue; otherwise, we will be compelled to take protest action,” warned Adv. Salve. He also stated that Rayat Vidyarthi Vichar Manch will not limit the issue to administrative corridors but will take it forward through public awareness campaigns.
