According to police, Ravindra Sonawane, 52, is residing at Rohidas Galli in Ambedkar Nagar. Prashant alias Bablu Rajguru, a 24-year-old man lives in the same street. On Thursday 26th May, while Ravindra Sonawane was at his house, Bablu came there and asked Ravindra for money for alcohol. However, when Ravindra refused, Bablu smashed the TV, sliding windows, fan and other items in his house.

This time, while Ravindra was taking Bablu out of the house, he stabbed Ravindra Sonawane in the stomach 3 times. Ravindra, who was critically injured in the incident, has been admitted to Fortis Hospital in Kalyan for treatment. Meanwhile, Shivajinagar police have arrested Bablu Rajguru on charges of attempted murder and other offenses.
