Special 4700 ST trains for Wari of Pandharpur, 4 stations for Warkari, crowds of devotees.
Mumbai : ‘Nivruti-Gyandev-Sopan-Muktai, Eknath-Namdev-Tukaram’. Performed by Anil Parab. Four temporary bus stands will also be set up for Warkari and devotees. After two years, this year Pandhari Wari will be celebrated with devotion in a free environment. On this occasion, a fair of Vaishnavism is likely to be held not only in the state but also across the country. Shekhar Channe, managing director of the corporation, has personally visited Pandharpur to inspect the preparations so as not to inconvenience the devotees.
These special trains will run from July 6 to July 14. 200 buses have been provided for the Mauli Ringan ceremony at Wakhri (July 8). Trains have been planned for the Yatra from Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur and Amravati. Parab also informed that ST drivers, carriers, mechanical staff as well as officers will be working day and night to provide safe service to millions of devotees. The Ashadhiyatra of Pandharpur is an intimate affair of all the common people of Maharashtra. ST has an important responsibility to take the devotees directly from their village to Pandharpur and also to bring them home safely after visiting Vitthal.
