Shiv Sena and a group of rebel MLAs are fighting to get the Shivaji Park ground of Dadar for Dussehra Mela, and in the background of the tension between Shiv Sena and Shinde, and the dispute between the two groups in Prabhadevi, a dilemma has arisen in front of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation as to who exactly should be allowed to organize the Dussehra Mela at Shivaji Park ground. Therefore, the G-North Division Office of the Municipal Corporation has sought feedback from the Law Department in this regard. But considering the overall situation and law and order issue, it is predicted that no one will get permission to organize Dussehra gathering in Shivaji Park ground this year. As a result, there are signs that the Shivaji Park Maidan will be sunny on Dussehra this year.
Dussehra gathering has been organized by Shiv Sena at Shivaji Park Maidan for many years. Earlier in the Dussehra gathering, a large number of Shiv Sainiks used to come to the Shivaji Park ground to listen to the thoughts of Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray and after him Shiv Sena party chief Uddhav Thackeray. A few months ago, Shiv Sena MLA Eknath Shinde rebelled. Due to this, there was a vertical split in the Shiv Sena and the Mahavikas Aghadi government in the state collapsed. Uddhav Thackeray had to step down from the post of Chief Minister. After that Shiv Sena and the group of rebel MLAs are constantly accusing each other.
The Shiv Sena has submitted an application to the G-North Division Office of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation to get the Shivaji Park ground for the Dussehra gathering. But Shinde MLA Sada Saravankar has also applied for the same reason and demanded Shivaji Park ground. Due to this, a cold war is currently going on between the two countries. Keeping this matter in mind, G-North Division Office has sought feedback from the Legal Department of Mumbai Municipal Corporation in this regard. The Law Department has not yet given its opinion.
On the occasion of World Engineers Day, a program was organized for the engineers of Mumbai Municipal Corporation at Rabindra Natya Mandir on Thursday night. The program was attended by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, rebel MP Rahul Shewale, Mumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal and other dignitaries. After the meeting of Shinde, Shewale and Chahal, a back-and-forth discussion has started regarding the reservation of Shivaji Park.
Meanwhile, a decision has not yet been made as to who will be given the Shivaji Park ground for the Dussehra Mela. Meanwhile, the dispute between the rebel MLA Sada Saravankar and Shiv Sena’s Mahesh Sawant in the Prabhadevi area has come to a head. In the overall situation, the possibility of law and order problem cannot be ruled out. As a result, there is a possibility that Shiv Sena or rebel MLAs will be denied permission to organize a meeting at Shivaji Park Maidan by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
A group of rebel MLAs has reserved a large ground in the Bandra-Kurla complex for a Dussehra gathering. Shiv Sena had also applied to reserve another ground in the Bandra-Kurla complex. But MMRDA has refused the permission, sources said. Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena has taken the position that the Dussehra gathering will be organized in the Shivaji Park Maidan in any case. Sources say that there is no possibility of anyone getting permission to organize the Dussehra Mela at Shivaji Park Maidan this year as the dispute between the two parties has started to escalate. But the decision of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation depends on the opinion of the Law Department.
