Shiv Sena-BJP’s reputation tarnished for Rajya Sabha; Responsibility on senior leaders to build the moat of MLAs

Mumbai: Though all the political parties are gearing up for the Rajya Sabha elections, the reputation of the two parties, BJP and Shiv Sena, has been tarnished. Therefore, these parties have entrusted the special responsibility of building the moat of their MLAs to the senior leaders. Although this election is apparently for Rajya Sabha, it is being given the same importance as Assembly elections. BJP and Shiv Sena have started preparations to win their seats in any case.

After the results of the last assembly elections, the Shiv Sena came to power and they formed the Mahavikas Aghadi government with the Congress and the NCP to teach the BJP a lesson. Naturally, these are the jewels of the BJP, and the BJP leaders are constantly giving dates for when this government will fall. However, due to the strong alliance of Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP, it has become difficult for the BJP to push the government in some states. Against this backdrop, the Rajya Sabha elections have become impossible to pass without any opposition. The ruling party and the opposition are trying to make the election uncontested by taking a middle path. But at the moment, the Shiv Sena wants to teach the BJP a lesson, while the Shiv Sena wants to remove the BJP from the government. Naturally, the BJP, along with Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis and Chandrakant Patil, has given special responsibilities to Girish Mahajan, Ashish Shelar and Prasad Lad to ensure that the Rajya Sabha elections are won and no scuffles take place.

On the other hand, there is talk in political circles that some Congress MLAs will be absent on election day. Therefore, even the senior leaders of the party have decided to bring all the Congress MLAs to Mumbai and provide them with ‘five star’ facilities. It is understood that the responsibility of keeping an eye on the Congress MLAs has been given to Sunil Kedar, Aslam Sheikh and others along with Balasaheb Thorat and Ashok Chavan. It is also understood that Dimti will have an army of Mumbai Congress workers.

Sources said that NCP has also ordered all its MLAs to come to Mumbai on June 8. It is understood that Jayant Patil, Chhagan Bhujbal, Jitendra Awhad, Dhananjay Munde will be given the responsibility of MLAs. The senior party minister also said that the strategy on which MLAs would cast their votes in which order would be worked out under the guidance of Ajit Pawar.

Army’s attempt to divert independents

Leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi feel that the BJP will play a game of manipulating some independents who are on the side of Mahavikas Aghadi, as well as smaller parties, by putting pressure on the ED and income tax departments. Therefore, we have already started the work of siding with some independents who are on the side of BJP, and the citizens will get an idea of how hollow the confidence of BJP was after the polls, a senior Shiv Sena leader told ‘Mata’.
