Sambhaji Brigade demands to file charges against those who show PM Narendra Modi in Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s costume

Statement of Sambhaji Brigade to the Chief Minister

Pimpri: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Shila Mandir at Dehu on Tuesday, June 14. Flexes were erected in Dehu village, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune city and Pune district to welcome the event. It was also made viral by making welcome designs on various social media. But while welcoming this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was shown in the costume of Saint Tukaram Maharaj.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s turban on the head of Sant Tukaram Maharaj, a large tulsi necklace with a harp in one hand and a photo of slippers in the other hand was posted on the social media design as well as on the flex. The Prime Minister of the country needs to be welcomed. But showing Modi in Tukobara’s costume has hurt the feelings of Warakaris who believe in the thoughts of Saint Tukaram Maharaj.

Saint Tukaram Maharaj has attacked the undesirable practices and rituals of the society with his verbal abhanga. Saint Tukaram Maharaj started a mass movement through social awareness to stop wrong practices. The saga written by Tukobaraya was drowned in the river Indrayani by some misguided people in the society. But Tukobaraya’s ideas had reached people of all castes and religions in the society. Compositions rehearsed for hard workers were rewritten, and the fight against undesirable practices continues to this day. Therefore, Saint Tukaram Maharaj has been the inspiration of all hard workers and Warakaris. No one can take the place of such a great saint Tukobaraya.

However, it is wrong to show Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Tukobara’s costume while welcoming him to the event in Dehu. Therefore, the feelings of all the Warakaris in Maharashtra, including me, have been hurt. Therefore, those who show Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the costume of Saint Tukaram Maharaj should be immediately charged. Satish Kale, Pimpri Chinchwad city president of Sambhaji Brigade, has given a statement to the Pimpri Chinchwad Commissioner of Police, Home Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Chief Minister demanding strict action against those who insulted Tukobaraya.
