Rahul Kalate’s Focus on Personal Visits for Diwali
Senior leaders of the Nationalist Congress Party engage with voters and community members
Pimpri-Chinchwad | As the festive spirit of Diwali fills the air, discussions around political matters continue among leaders in the constituency. Rahul Kalate, the Mahavikas Aghadi candidate from the Nationalist Congress Party, has begun his campaign by visiting voters and long-time residents to extend Diwali greetings.
In the Chinchwad constituency, many locals have settled after coming from other areas for jobs and industries. The constituency has a strong base of Nationalist Congress Party supporters and veteran workers. Following a split in the party, many activists and voters remain loyal to Sharad Pawar. Consequently, Kalate emphasized personal interactions with old party members and voters during his visits, sharing festive greetings.
On Thursday (October 31), Kalate conducted a swift tour of several villages in the Panchkroshi area, engaging in discussions and meetings with local residents. He sought guidance from seasoned villagers and paid homage to local deities in places like Rahatani, Punawale, Thergaon, Wakad, and Chinchwad.
Kalate also met with senior leader and former MP Vidura (Nana Nawle) to seek advice and blessings. His visits, which began early in the morning, were met with enthusiasm and celebration, including traditional welcomes with sweets.
Kalate emphasized the need for planned development for the next 50 years in Chinchwad, highlighting his commitment to ensuring that locals receive global-standard facilities. He expressed confidence in his understanding of the area as a native and underscored his past accomplishments as a municipal councilor.
