Quick Heal Cyber Warrior Club Established at MIT Arts, Commerce and Science College, Alandi

The MIT Arts, Commerce and Science College, Alandi (D) has successfully launched the Quick Heal Cyber Warrior Club in collaboration with the Quick Heal Foundation. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently signed between the college and the foundation, under which the club has been formed. The installation of the club was officially carried out at the hands of Mrs. Anupama Katkar, Chairperson of the Quick Heal Foundation.

Under the initiative titled “Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha”, students from computer science and related streams will serve as volunteers and conduct awareness activities related to cyber security. These Cyber Warriors will spread awareness among school students and the community at large through structured presentations and both online and offline campaigns.

Prof. Amit Tale, from the Department of Computer Application, has been appointed as the Faculty Coordinator for the club. The key student leaders appointed for the club are: Miss Hindavi Kharmale as Club President, Mr. Shivprasad Jadhav as Club Secretary, Mr. Ayush Iche as Activity Director, and Mr. Manas Patil as Media Director. Under this project, a total of 20 students will function as Cyber Warriors, including 14 newly selected students at the college level.

Each team is responsible for conducting a fixed number of presentations and outreach activities in the community. The project is scheduled to run from May 2025 to February 2026.

This entire initiative is being executed under the able guidance of Dr. Vikas Mahandule, Head of the Department of Computer Application. Continuous follow-up and coordination have been ensured by Deputy Director Prof. Akshada Kulkarni, and the project is being implemented with the overall support of Director Dr. B. B. Waphare.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director of the college said, “The Cyber Warrior Club will build cyber awareness among students and help them become responsible digital citizens.”

This project is not only a step toward increasing awareness about cyber security but also an excellent opportunity to foster digital literacy, student leadership, and social responsibility.
