The crime rate in Pune is increasing day by day. This is how the people of Pune got this morning with a very shocking news. A retired army officer has shot himself and killed his wife. The incident has caused a stir in the area and a police investigation is underway.
The incident took place at Sitadel Society, BT Kawade Road, Mundhwa Police Station. The deceased have been identified as retired Colonel Narayan Singh Bora (74) and his wife Champa Bora (63). It is being speculated that the incident may have been due to depression. The incident came to light around yesterday evening. When police arrived at the scene, they were found lying in a pool of blood. While his wife was asleep, Narayan Singh Bora shot himself in the forehead and later committed suicide.
The girl informed the members of the society as her mother was not picking up the phone around noon. The door was locked from the inside when members of the society visited the house. So the police were informed. Police then opened the door, entering through the gallery of a neighboring house, and found the two covered in blood.
