Organizing various programs on the occasion of 23rd anniversary
Pimpri: Today marks the 22nd anniversary of the formation of the Nationalist Congress Party. Coming into its 23rd year, we are proud of the decisions taken by the party in the last 22 years for the common citizens of the entire state including Pimpri-Chinchwad, development works and the work done for the preservation of inter-religious harmony, said party city president Ajit Gavhane. He was speaking at a press conference organized to inform about the various activities organized on the occasion of the anniversary.
Speaking further, Ajit Gawhane said that the NCP was founded in 1999 with the vision of NCP’s founding president Sharad Pawar. The role of development of common man in Maharashtra has been nurtured since the inception of the party. During the rule of NCP, the development of the state, while implementing new concepts, has given importance to the development of farmers. The development of Pimpri-Chinchwad is due to the vision of the NCP leaders. During the fifteen years of the Municipal Corporation, the city went through a glorious journey. We have succeeded in resolving the issues of rights of the common man while giving importance to roads, flyovers, parks, sanitation, environment.
Many decisions were made through the party while working at the state level. Due to the leadership of Sharad Pawar, the NCP has played a major role in making Maharashtra an important developed state in the country. Ajit Gavhane also said that the decision taken by NCP Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar through the Mahavikas Aghadi government in the last two and a half years has made it possible to overcome Karona.
On the one hand, while the NCP is working for the people through the government, through the NCP Welfare Trust, the party has tried to help the last section of the society by carrying out activities like distribution of face shields, sanitizers, masks, education of missing children, distribution of ambulances to social organizations. During the Corona period, the Trust also provided assistance to farmers affected by heavy rains and drought. Gawhane also said that the youth have been empowered academically by implementing activities like distribution of computers to the budding students.
Emphasis will be laid on speedy completion of development works through the government by undertaking planned programs through NCP in the forthcoming period. Gavhane also said that many initiatives have been taken through the Mahavikas Aghadi and the development of the common man will continue on the same path.
NCP’s biggest success in the upcoming elections
Everyone is now convinced that development can be achieved only through the vision of NCP President Sharad Pawar Pawar and the work ethic of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Gavhane also claimed that the NCP will get the highest success in the forthcoming Municipal, Municipal, Zilla Parishad and other local body elections. As the NCP is committed to get OBC reservation, we are sure that the forthcoming municipal elections will be held with this OBC reservation.
Criticism of the Center over inflation
Inflation is currently rampant across the country. However, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is in opposition at the Center and in the state, is trying to create caste-religion disputes. Gawhane alleged that such issues were being created to divert the attention of the general public. He also appealed to the central government to take a decision to alleviate the plight of the people.
Anniversary program
On the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the NCP, a flag salute was held at the party office at Kharalwadi at 10:00 am. Also, flags and stickers will be affixed on every house in 46 wards of the city. Respect for senior citizens, environmental awareness, lectures by Nitin Bangude, Mahila Bachat Group Yojana and Mahila Melava have been organized through Mahila Cell. Career Guidance Camp for 10th and 12th class students at Acharya Atre Rangmandir, Pimpri, Educated Unemployment Campaign, Anti-Inflation Movement at Dange Chowk, Blood Donation Camp in all three Assembly constituencies, Eye Examination Camp in 46 Wards and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Dr. . Lectures were organized in all the three Assembly constituencies based on the ideas of Babasaheb Ambedkar. Also d. Ajit Gawhane informed that the member registration campaign was launched from 9th June to 23rd June.
