Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation will construct a new high water tank in Ward No. 18 in Chinchwadgaon. The work will cost Rs 3 crore 11 lakh. The Municipal Corporation had invited tenders from the contractors for this work. It was expected to cost Rs 3 crore 58 thousand. Excluding royalty and material testing fees, tenders were called at a rate of Rs 3 crore 55 lakh. Accordingly, five contractors submitted tenders.
J. of them. D. Khandeshe submitted the tender at a rate of 13.5 per cent less than the tender rate. In other words, Rs 3 crore 9 lakh 3 plus royalty charges of Rs 97 thousand and material testing charges of Rs 1 lakh 46 thousand will cost a total of Rs 3 crore 11 lakh. The work is expected to be completed in two years. This will help solve the water problem in Chinchwadgaon.
