The Ashadi Wari Palkhi ceremony has not been held in the last two years due to the epidemic of Kovid. However, this year, Warakaris from all over the state have enthusiastically participated in this devotional fair. Let this glorious tradition of Maharashtra continue like this, let us pray at the feet of Vithoba of Pandharpur, said BJP city president and MLA Mahesh Landage.

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Bharatiya Janata Party welcomed the Santshrestha Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi ceremony at Magazine Chowk on the Alandi-Bhosari Palkhi route. On the occasion of Ashadi Wari, thousands of Warakaris from all corners of the state chanted Gyanoba-Tukaram and marched towards Pune in the wake of Taal-Mridang. Former Mayor Nitin Kalje, Rahul Jadhav and all BJP office bearers and activists were present in large numbers.

Dindi chiefs were honored at the Palkhi ceremony. Also, first aid kits, farals, essentials, insects, umbrellas, raincoats etc. were distributed.

On behalf of Pimpri-Chinchwad city, MLA Mahesh Landage welcomed the palanquin ceremony of Jagad Guru Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Shrestha Dnyaneshwar Maharaj. It is noteworthy that even though the city has two MPs and four MLAs, MLA Landage got the opportunity to ride the palanquin bull during the palanquin ceremony. MLA Landage also served the Warakaris with great devotion. He also prayed that Panduranga should give strength to Pimpri-Chinchwadkars to overcome every crisis.
