Legislative Council Election: Congress gives another chance to Bhai Jagtap

Mumbai: After the BJP finalized the names of its candidates for the Assembly elections, now the Congress and the NCP have also revealed their addresses. The names of Eknath Khadse and Ramraje Nimbalkar have almost been finalized by the NCP for the Legislative Council candidature. On the other hand, the Congress has once again shown faith in the party’s Mumbai city president Bhai Jagtap.

The Congress has won two seats from the Mahavikas Aghadi for the forthcoming assembly elections for 10 seats in the state. Though the Congress has fixed Bhai Jagtap’s name for one seat, the other name is still in the bouquet and the party is still in turmoil.

While BJP is announcing five candidates, except for Pravin Darekar and Prasad Lad, it has given a chance to three new candidates. However, the Congress and the NCP have chosen to reassure the old leaders.

Whom did BJP nominate?
BJP recently announced the names of candidates for the Legislative Assembly elections. These include Pravin Darekar, Prasad Lad, Ram Shinde, Srikant Bharatiya and Uma Khapre. As a result, the addresses of other leaders including Pankaja Munde and Sadabhau Khot, who are in the fray, have been cut.
