Pimpri :As Maharashtra’s assembly elections draw closer, Bhosari gears up for a powerful rally led by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Known for his fierce Hindutva stance, Yogi will campaign for Maha-Yuti candidates in Pimpri-Chinchwad, including at the historic Gavjatra Maidan on Sunday (November 17) evening.
The rally, organized to promote Maha-Yuti candidates MLA Mahesh Landge, MLA Anna Bansode, and Chinchwad’s Shankar Jagtap, is expected to draw significant attention.
The North Indian community, which has a strong presence in Pimpri-Chinchwad and holds Yogi Adityanath in high regard, is anticipated to turn out in large numbers. Organizers predict a record attendance, with approximately 100,000 citizens expected to participate. Residents from Pune and surrounding districts are also likely to attend, positioning the rally as a formidable response to the Maha-Vikas Aghadi.
“Vote Jihad” vs. “Bhagwa Jihad”
In the lead-up to this election, some local Muslim organizations have extended their support to Maha-Vikas Aghadi candidates, prompting slogans from Hindutva leaders of “Vote Jihad” versus “Bhagwa Jihad.” Hindutva advocates have been calling for unity among Hindus, urging them to rally around a common nationalistic cause. This rhetoric, echoing the recent slogan “Batenge Nahin to Katenge Nahin” (If We Don’t Divide, We Won’t Fall) post-general elections, seeks to galvanize the community against perceived divisive tactics.
With Yogi Adityanath’s rally in Bhosari, the campaign gains a powerful Hindutva voice, which is expected to heighten the intensity of the Pimpri-Chinchwad election landscape.
