Buldana: A 27-year-old youth was killed in a storm at Eidgah area in Bawanbir. The young man’s name is Sheikh Rafiq Sheikh Gani (age 27). Police have arrested 5 people in this case. Police have appealed to the Muslim Brotherhood to remain calm so that nothing untoward happens after this. However, the death of a young man on Eid has caused a stir in the area.
The incident took place on Tunki Main Road at Bawanbir in Sangrampur taluka due to an old dispute. It is learned that the incident took place in the Eidgah area around 7.30 am on the day of Eid.
Fighting in two groups on the way to Namaz
Today, on the occasion of Ramadan Eid, all the Muslim brothers in the village were going to offer Namaz. Then suddenly two groups of people started beating each other. Sheikh Rafiq Sheikh Gani was seriously injured in the attack. He was later admitted to the hospital. However, he died during treatment there.
Police received information that a storm was raging in Eidgah area. After that, Thanedar Shridhar Gutte immediately reached the spot and took control of the situation. Police and villagers present at the spot appealed to the citizens of both the groups for peace. Police have arrested the accused in the incident.
