England: Indian cricket team defeated England 2-1 in the 3-match ODI series. The decisive match between the two teams was played at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester. The series was tied 1-1 before the start of this match. In this match, Rohit Sharma invited the English team to bat first.

After this, in the middle overs, Hardik Pandya broke the back of the English batting team by picking up important wickets of Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone. Hardik took 4 wickets for just 24 runs in 7 overs. Supporting him, Yuzvendra Chahal also collected 3 wickets in his account.

Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were dismissed for 3, 17 and 17 runs respectively. India lost their experienced batsmen for a combined total of just 38 runs. However, after this, Suryakumar Yadav shared a partnership of 34 runs with Rishabh Pant. But Surya was dismissed for 72 runs contributing 16 runs.

In this difficult situation, Team India seemed to be lagging behind. But the pair of Rishabh Pant (125) and Hardik Pandya (71) agreed on something different. Both the batsmen started to build a slow partnership as they took their time at the start of their innings and came close to the target and put on a brilliant 133-run partnership. In the end, Rishabh Pant scored a quick century, which led to Team India winning the match by 5 wickets and pocketing the series.
