Pune News: Mahavitaran’s ‘Mahapower-Pay’ Wallet Receives Great Response in Western Maharashtra

Over 16 Lakh Customers Have Paid Electricity Bills Using the Wallet, Generating Significant Income for Small Business Owners

Pune: Mahavitaran’s “Mahapower-Pay” payment wallet, which facilitates easy bill payments and provides income opportunities for small businesses, has received an overwhelming response, especially in the Kolhapur and Satara districts of Western Maharashtra.

In the past six months, over 16 lakh customers have paid a total of ₹177.42 crores in electricity bills through the wallet. Additionally, wallet holders have earned a total commission of ₹80.33 lakh. A total of 601 individuals have set up electricity bill payment centers through the “Mahapower-Pay” wallet.

Mahavitaran launched the “Mahapower-Pay” payment wallet, which can be used by individuals over 18 years old, as well as small business owners, grocery store owners, medical and general store vendors, savings groups, students, and agencies responsible for electricity bill distribution and meter reading. The wallet can be accessed via mobile or computer and allows online recharges using debit, credit cards, and net banking.

For each electricity bill payment, the wallet holder receives a ₹5 commission. Those interested in becoming “Mahapower-Pay” wallet holders are encouraged to contact Mahavitaran’s divisional or sub-divisional offices, as stated by Bhujang Khandare, Pune Regional Director.

In Pune district, primarily in rural areas, 1,12,358 customers have paid ₹16.96 crore through the wallet, with 56 wallet holders receiving a total commission of ₹5.61 lakh.
