Pimpri: On the occasion of Nagpanchami, Chetan Ghule, former chairman of Pimpri-Chinchwad Education Board, organized an activity called “Utsavanchi Rang Dhamaal” for women in Bopkhel area. Under that, traditional games such as Zoka, Phugdi, Fer, Mangalore etc. were conducted for the women of the area. Competitions, games, stories and chat-songs were played by the women.
Meanwhile, the women of the area gave a spontaneous response to this program. Various games were planned in front of the Maruti temple at Bopkhel Gavthan. Participating women were gifted Paithani through lucky draw.
Due to the two-year crisis of Kovid, women-mothers-sisters could not come together. Therefore, on the occasion of Nagpanchami, the women of the area could play traditional games together. Also, the women expressed satisfaction that Indian festivals are being cultivated through this program.
