Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil has undertaken a campaign to make Pimpri-Chinchwad a city free from unauthorized tapas and letter sheds. However, local leaders of the Mahavikas Aghadi have taken a stand that no action should be taken against the construction of unauthorized tapas and leaf sheds in Moshi. Under the leadership of Shiv Sena leader Dhananjay Alhat, this issue has been brought to the notice of the Commissioner.
To make Pimpri-Chinchwad the cleanest and most beautiful city in the country, a crackdown team has been set up to remove encroachments on roads, sidewalks and unauthorized constructions. For this, Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil has also ordered the officers and employees to perform their duties without falling prey to any political or administrative pressure.
