On the second day of the Monsoon Session of the Legislature, Shinde shamed the government for not answering the first question. Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Ajit Pawar asked a question regarding the measures taken to prevent elephant disease in Palghar district. But Health Minister Dr. Not being able to give Tanaji Sawant, the government had the shame of reserving the first question of its career for an answer. This question will be answered on Monday. The Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Ajit Pawar answered the questions about the approved officers, staff posts, filled posts, number of vacant posts, sanctioned funds for elephant disease prevention measures, funds spent in the previous year for the working system to prevent the outbreak of elephant disease in Palghar district. Tanaji Sawant was asked. As the Health Minister did not have this information, he could not reply and the question was reserved till Monday for reply.

The problem of elephantiasis in Palghar district is serious and in a survey conducted in October 2021, it has been found that 80 children in the district are infected with the disease. 29 children from Dahanu, Vikramgad, Talasari taluk have been infected with this disease. While asking a question in this regard, Opposition Leader Ajit Pawar said that elephant disease spread by mosquitoes is serious and causes the body to become deformed and inefficient. Once infected, there is no effective treatment for this disease. Hence preventive measures are important. Attention was drawn to this.

Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar had asked a question regarding the effectiveness of preventive measures in the district. Health Minister Dr. Tanaji Sawant could not give. Hence, the question was postponed till Monday for reply.
