Pune : As per the demand of rural police traffic department, 2 speedguns should be made available as soon as possible from the road safety fund to measure the speed of vehicles. Also, Collector ordered to find out the causes of road accidents and take necessary measures to prevent future accidents at that place. Given by Rajesh Deshmukh. District Level Road Safety Committee meeting was organized in Pune. At this time the Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh was speaking. Public Works Department, Police and Transport Department should meet every month. Instructions were also given on this occasion to find out the causes of road accidents and take necessary measures to prevent future accidents.
District Superintendent of Police Dr. Abhinav Deshmukh, Regional Transport Officer Dr. Ajit Shinde, Deputy Commissioner of City Police (Traffic) Rahul Srirame PMRDA, Pune as well as Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipality, Pune Zilla Parishad, Police Department, PMPML, Disaster Management, Health Department, Education, ST Corporation and Regional Transport Department were present.
At this time, the accidents that happened in the last year and the measures taken for it were reviewed. Also, there was a discussion about the measures taken by the Public Works Department, NHAI, MSRDC, Public Works National Highways Department, Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal limits regarding dangerous accident places (blackspot) and the reduction in the number of accidents. A presentation was made on the Accident Registration and Analysis System (IRAD).
Meanwhile, Deshmukh said, recording of every accident on the ‘Irad’ system is useful for getting comprehensive information about the accident site. From this, the measures to be taken at the relevant places can be prioritized and future accidents can be prevented. Filling information through this app is mandatory and all concerned departments should strictly implement it by training their employees. The district surgeon and the district health officer should give appropriate instructions to the concerned to fill the information of the accident patients by the private hospitals on ‘Irad’.
