Pimpri: Pimpri-Chinchwad: Five newly elected office bearers of the Nationalist Youth Congress (NYC) have resigned from their posts, according to reliable sources. This is considered as a major failure of NCP city president Ajit Gawhane due to the displeasure of NCP office bearers in the run up to the by-elections. Doubts have also been raised about his leadership. Due to this, there is an atmosphere of agitation in the NCP faction.
In February 2022, Imran Sheikh was appointed as the city president of NCP Youth Congress Pimpri Chinchwad city president Vishal Wakadkar. Out of this, he formed a number of youth activists, many of whom are aspiring as candidates in the forthcoming municipal elections. In the last three to four months, the newly elected Imran Shah has been disqualified as the NCP Youth Congress city president. There is talk of a downturn. As a result, Pimpri Assembly Vice President of NCP Youth Congress Shubham Pandit, NCP Youth Congress City Vice President Vedant Mali, NCP Youth Congress City Secretary Prashant Kalel and two other five office bearers are reported to have resigned from Imran Khan today.
