Important News: Connectivity to Increase in Ravet to Wakad Area of Chinchwad Assembly Constituency

Pimpri: Bhumipujan for proposed roads in Ravet, Kiwale, Punawale, Tathawade and Wakad areas, newly included in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits, was performed. These roads will increase the ‘connectivity’ of these villages, which are developing rapidly near the Pune-Mumbai highway. BJP city president Shankar Jagtap has been constantly following up to expedite these roads.

The groundbreaking and inauguration of various development works in Chinchwad Assembly constituency and the city were carried out by the state’s Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar. People’s representatives and administrative officials from the city were present on this occasion.

An 18-meter and 12-meter DP road in Mamurdi Kiwale of Chinchwad Assembly constituency, an 18-meter DP and other roads on the Kiwale and Ravet border, a DP road from Mukai Chowk to Shinde Petrol Pump, a 30-meter DP road from Mumbai-Bangalore highway to Katevasti in Punawale in ward number 25, an 18-meter DP road from Koyte Wasti Chowk to Jambe village, an 18-meter DP road from Tathawade village to MTU company via Jeevan Nagar, an 18-meter wide DP road from Punawale BRT Road through Punawale village, architectural works of an 18-meter wide DP road in Gayakwad Nagar, and an 18-meter DP road from Tiptop Hotel to Atlanta 2 Society in Wakad were inaugurated. Along with this, work has also been undertaken to construct a subway at Rakshak Chowk on the Sangvi-Kiwale road.

Relief for society members, IT professionals… A large number of IT professionals from Hinjawadi IT Park reside in the Ravet, Kiwale, Punawale, Tathawade, and Wakad belt. Over the past 10-15 years, the population has grown tremendously on both sides of the Pune-Mumbai highway. Due to this, the problem of traffic congestion had arisen. With the development of roads, traffic congestion will decrease, providing convenience to residents and helping to reduce pollution. City dwellers will no longer have to face the traffic congestion currently experienced after the construction of the road at Bhukar Chowk and Bhujbal Chowk in Wakad area. These various road development projects will create a planned parking system. Citizens will have well-equipped roads for comfortable travel and communication, and safe footpaths (pedestrian-friendly footpaths). This has brought relief to society members and IT professionals.

Due to increasing urbanization and the number of vehicles, the problem of traffic congestion has arisen. We have been constantly following up to develop various roads as per the development plan. Work on roads connecting various parts of Ravet, Kiwale, Punawale, Tathawade, and Wakad has now gained momentum. Land acquisition is a major obstacle in developing DP roads in many places. Due to technical difficulties, many road works are pending. However, we will be preparing an ‘action plan’ to improve the transportation situation in the future. We expect the administration to complete the works of these roads quickly.
