Winter Session Maharashtra: Cold Wave in Pune and Across the State; Many Cities See Temperatures Below 10°C
Pune: Due to the intensified cold winds from the north, the cold wave has increased in the state. The Meteorological Department has forecast that many districts in the state will experience a cold wave on Monday as well. The lowest recorded temperature in the state was 6.4°C in Nagar, while in Pune, on Sunday (15th), the temperature in NDA area was 8°C and in Shivajinagar, it was 9°C.
Various areas of Pune city and the district recorded temperatures below 10°C. On Sunday (15th) morning, the lowest temperature in NDA area was recorded at 8°C. The minimum temperature had been falling since Saturday, making Sunday morning particularly cold for Pune residents. The cold wave is expected to persist for the next two days. After that, the sky will clear, and light fog is expected in the mornings, according to the weather department. The maximum temperature in Pune has also dropped below 30°C, with Pashan recording 27.8°C, Bhor 28.5°C, and Shivajinagar 29.6°C.
The cold wave is being felt across the state, with many cities recording temperatures below 10°C. The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 6.4°C in Ahilyanagar. Following that, Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Parbhani, Akola, Gondia, Nagpur, and Wardha had temperatures ranging from 7°C to 8°C.
Cold Wave Expected in the Following Areas: On Monday (16th), the cold wave is expected to affect Pune, Jalgaon, Nagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed, and Gondia districts.
