BJP’s Vikas Madigeri’s complaint to Governor regarding Pimpri-Chinchwad ward formation!
Pimpri: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC Election) administration has done ward formation for the forthcoming general election 2022 in an irregular and wrong manner. There was political interference in the formation of wards. Former BJP standing committee chairman Vilas Madigeri has lodged a complaint with state governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari alleging that the wards were formed following the instructions of the state election commission. He also demanded cancellation of the entire ward structure.
Former chairman of the standing committee Vilas Madigeri has also filed a petition in the high court challenging the formation of the corporation. The petition has added to the problems of the corporation and the corporation will have to file an affidavit in the high court on June 8. Along with the court battle, Vilas Madigeri has met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and lodged a complaint with him.
In a letter to the governor, Madigeri said that on November 25, 2021, three months before the draft ward structure was published, he had lodged a written complaint with himself and the PCMC Election Commission alleging that the existing ward no. However, the draft ward structure was announced without noticing it. As reported by the State Election Commission, no concrete change has taken place after the objections were raised and the case was heard. The situation is as it is. This ward was illegally formed by breaking the mode. In my opinion, there was a breach of privacy and political interference in the formation of the ward.
